Anxiety – Another perspective.

When Anxiety shows up for a client I often ask them ‘why should you have anxiety right now?’

‘Why should it be showing up in your body at this point in time?’

More often than not its because the client has not stopped and listened to the wisdom and the insight the body as to offer.

They have pushed too hard, for too long disregarding the messages from the heart.

So the next time you feel anxious, in an active meditation, close your eyes and focus.

Focus on the anxiety.

Focus on the what your body is doing but then go deeper in the feeling. Notice the colour, shape, texture, sounds and any imagery the feeling may offer.

Then ask yourself,

‘why should I feel anxious right now?’

And listen …listen with your whole heart

You will notice your symptoms will speak to you.

Once you have received its wisdom, take action to restore balance.

Anxiety is really just the body trying to get you to pay attention and make a change.

How amazing is that? How beautiful is our body, to love you so much that it would make you feel uncomfortable in order to heal…truly heal.

Kind of like a parent that is acting out of love for a child even when they don’t see it.
